PHARMACY FIRST AND MINOR ILLNESS APPOINTMENTS

Here is a summary of the limited conditions we can now treat in the NHS Pharmacy First Service Clinical Pathway and their age ranges:

 

  1. i)Urinary Tract Infections-  Eligible Patient ages – Women Aged Between 16 – 64yrs
  2. ii)Shingles- Eligible Patient ages – 18 Years and above

iii)                 Impetigo-                             Eligible Patient ages – 1 Year Old and above

  1. iv)Infected Insect Bites-       Eligible Patient ages – 1 Year Old and above
  2. v)Sore Throat-                       Eligible Patient ages - 5 Years and above
  3. vi)Sinusitis-                             Eligible Patient ages – 12 Years and above

vii)               Acute Otitis Media -          Eligible Patient ages - 1 Year Old to 17 Years Old

 

Minor Ailment Scheme

For minor illnesses such as coughs, colds, cystitis, the receptionist will help you get a consultation with a pharmacist or optometrist quickly. You can get simple remedies and advice without waiting to see the doctor.

Please note you do not need to visit your doctor to access this service. You can approach your pharmacy directly!

Conditions that can be treated using Minor Ailments Scheme:

Athletes Foot, Constipation, Diarrhoea, Hayfever, Insecbiltes/Sting, Nappy rash, sprarins./strains, Temperature, Verruca, colds and Flu, Cough, Earache,Head Lice, Minor Cuts and Burns, Piles, Sunburn, Threadworms, Warts, Cold Sores, Eye infections - Minor, Indigestion, Mouth Ulcers, Sore Throat, Teething, Vaginal Thursh.
